IFDI V/S AAP.

FDI V/S AAP.

The decision regarding investment in retail through FDI need second thought by AAP. FDI in retail has been opposed by BJP in Parliament and after that UPA GOvt. decided to launch such Retail store through FDI in Cities that have population of 10,00,000 or above. Why this restriction ? Is there any logic behind that restriction. If in small town and cities in FDI retail can damage small business men and kirana stores, then it can damage business prospects of small business men and kirana stores of big cities too.

UPA govt. has given liberty to all state Govt. to take their own decision regarding FDI in retail. The fact is that non of any state govt. has taken any survey or research about this issue. All are throwing their cap in air to lure small business men and kirana owners in coming Parliamentary election. There were ample time for UPA and to stake GOvts to make survey and to take public opinion for such issues. But not a single govt. of any state has gone for public opinion and for such survey or research.

UPA is putting forward only one argument i. e. FDI will stop if in retail investment is no allowed. What is needed is to think about our own interest. FDI is choosing India as investment destination for their profit and not for philanthropic work.

Secondly Indian business men- Reliance and Big Bazzar etc are given liberty to venture in Retail and they are doing that from last some years. We do not have any complain against such Big KIRANA BAZZAR. If they have not make any dent to the market forces and local kirana market is working , how FDI in kirana can make any change ?? Secondly Indian corporates -Reliance and BiG Bazar- are allowed and non-Indian is not ? It is not the term set for globalization by India by any means. There must be equal terms and conditions for all. The straight meaning of this is let Indian Corporate Sector allowed to exploit customers and small business men , but not by and outsider. this is hypocrisy from our govt.

AAP decision not to allow FDI in KIRANA and small business will second thought. For all other purpose AAP can go for public opinion , why it has not take enough time for referendum ? ? Clearly AAP is also thinking for Vote Bank in upcoming election at center.

The crux of the debate is that market forces should be left for customers to decide and agencies must be make strong to protect customers if they are exploited. If any Local kirana store is not working efficiently then it should not be allowed to stay in market at cost of customers.

Finally we should ask all govt. how many steps they have taken before and now ( after in Parliament discussion and decision taken to allow FDI in KIRANA BUSINESS). This all show that all- Center Govt and State Govt- are shading Crocodile tears for comman man, but in deep vote bank is in sight.
